I am reading the new Churchill biography and I am trying identify the modern day figure that most resembles the man.

Key elements:

• Originating from a strong political family
• Distant and cool parenting
• Journalist and early self promoter
• Focused on being the long term leader of their country
• Child of a dimming empire
• Extraordinary orator
• Multi-portfolio ministerial life
• Prognosticator

I find it difficult to identify anyone currently in prominent positions across the globe, corporate, political or other. I will think about it.
